yea i like this photo and think it has potential which is why i came here after the thumbcritique...

okay so u used fabric. maybe the shift from the lips to the mouth should be somehow softer...like, show just a tiny bit more, teeth for example. but that wouldve required u to not use the fabric. hmm. i dunno, its just unrealistic now cos i feel i should see more. i realize some fantasy or horror effects are not realistic, but to find the balance....

also, what i said about the face just being ';plastered' there on the black bg, i mean that maybe her neck could continue just a bit further, shoulders starting...maybe have veings showing on the neck... the bare face in the dark just seems weird. in movies is works though. i think its because of the stark contrast, her face and hair are so light (well lit) that its funny for the bg to be all black, u know? the darkness shuld creep up on the face, to the hair, by making shadows. the difference is just too blatant.

also the hair looks liek u spent 10minutes with gel and mirror... altho it might be coincidence.

alritgh that was long. just wanted to help :)

kep it up

The mouth and background looks like that intentionally, to emphasise something empty inside and around the person. I also dont think the black inside the mouth looks to weird against the lips, the upper lip is shadowed so it looks a bit better than if I were to just have cut out the inside of the mouth. I realise it looks unrealistic, its meant to.

I can agree that the shadowing could've been a lot better, that the darkness could creep up on the face more.

What if I spent 10 minutes with the hair? That shouldnt matter. Actually I think I spent less, it turned out like I wanted at that moment and that was all I needed. How would you wanted the hair to look like?

Thanks for the critique, I think this is the first comment i've ever gotten that has real and creative critique in it.

Now that I look at this, and the b&w version as well, I think the hair would look really cool with a back-lick. To make it seem a bit more... oily and dark.
